Get ready to be D. Stroid!
Bonnie D. Stroir is coming to Kingston! If you’re not up on all of the latest derby news and don’t know who I’m talking about, well, where have you been? Bonnie founded the San Diego Derby Dolls and was the Assistant Coach of Team USA at the 2011 Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto, where many of the Kingston Derby Girls in attendance witnessed the amazing results of her coaching first-hand as they watched Team USA dominate the world on the flat track. She now travels all over the world, from Brazil to Australia, as the world’s first full-time roller derby coach, and is arguably the most globally renowned coach of the derby circuit. And on Wednesday, July 11, she is coming to us to share her wisdom and teach us some new strategies and moves.
We opened up registration for this amazing boot camp to other leagues and are excited to see our friends from Oz and several other leagues again. As of this writing, there are still four spots left. Check out the Facebook event, and see if you can snatch up one of the last few tickets!
You can read lots more about Bonnie here. Can’t wait!
