Are you ready to be a derby girl? If you’ve ever dreamed of lacing on a pair of rollerskates and showing us what you’ve got on the flat track, the time is now!* Fresh Meat camp is your opportunity to learn all the skills you need to play roller derby from some of our most talented and experienced skaters and to have the chance to be drafted to one of our three amazing teams. No skating experience is necessary — though it certainly wouldn’t hurt. Our Fresh Meat camp instructors — including LaVallee of the Dolls, Box Punch, Banger Management, Mr. Kristi, and Johnston — will teach you everything you need to know to skate safely and develop your skills.
The important stuff: KDG’s Fall 2012 Fresh Meat Camp will take place Wednesdays and Sundays, starting Wednesday, September 12 and running until Wednesday, November 14. Wednesday sessions will run from 8-10 p.m. and Sundays from 3-5 p.m. (no practices on Sunday, October 7 or Wednesday, October 31). All practices take place at the Wally Elmer Arena in Kingston.
